Welcome to the Parks Division

Our city continues to improve and expand the public spaces and trails for our residents to enjoy. The Evans Parks Division oversees and maintains 14 developed parks and open space areas totaling 220+ acres and more than 13 miles of trails.

Our parks tell our story. In 2018, we re-opened Riverside Park after it was destroyed by floods in 2013 and 2015. The park has become of symbol of resiliency for this city. Riverside Park is a remarkable open space with a quadrant of softball fields, soccer fields, a climbing wall, public pavilions, fishing areas, and a state-of-the-art basketball court. It has become the centerpiece for recreational activities and festivals for our city. But we didn’t stop at Riverside Park. Since 2018, we built new parks at 34th and 15th Street and Denver Street. We also installed new playground equipment at Prairie View, Pioneer, Ridge, and Vineyard Parks. We encourage you to visit all of our parks listed below.
