EVANS, CO—After more than five years as the City Manager for the City of Evans, Jim Becklenberg has accepted a position as the new City Manager of Littleton, Colorado.

“Evans will always have a special place in my heart. I developed many lifetime relationships and friendships that I will always cherish. And while I will miss this community, the City of Littleton allows me the opportunity to be closer to my family, which is important during this chapter of my life,” Becklenberg said. “I am proud of the progress made in the City of Evans during my time as the City Manager.”

Building key relationships with regional partners and the development community

Becklenberg credits the Evans City Council for its leadership in moving the community forward and seizing new opportunities.

“The Evans City Council, whom I have had the honor and privilege to serve, have worked extraordinarily well together to set a course for future high-quality growth in Evans. They have also continuously supported me and the entire City staff in advancing their agenda. “

“I’m personally excited for Jim to move onto his next chapter for him and his family,” Evans Mayor Mark Clark, said. “But it’s bittersweet because he’s made the city what it is today and it’s all his doing. He’s definitely going to be missed and his legacy in the City of Evans will be felt for years to come.”
