The code enforcement program, a part of the neighborhood services division and community development department, addresses property maintenance and nuisance violations that affect safety and quality of life in Evans.

Code enforcement officers investigate code violations on private property related to:

  • Inoperable Vehicles
  • Trash, Junk, and Outside Storage
  • Tall and Noxious Weeds
  • Hazardous Trees
  • Brush
  • Dirt Piles and Debris
  • Snow on Sidewalks
  • Maintenance of Fences
  • Graffiti Removal

If you have an emergency, call 911.  For issues regarding noise, parking, animal control, traffic, or anything of a criminal nature, please contact the police department at 970-356-1212.  Code enforcement services are generally available during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8AM – 5PM.
