Alicia Johnson is paving the way and opening the doors for others to walk alongside her. As the first Latina on Evans City Council and a first-generation American, her unique background has influenced her perspective. She firmly believes that success requires hard work, determination, and a strong will. Alicia has a deep conviction that everyone deserves an opportunity to thrive and succeed.

Alicia is a compassionate community leader in Weld County. She is dedicated to serving the diverse needs of her community. Whether she is advocating for translation and interpretation services, access to information for all, fair representation, safety, air quality, human rights, or gender equity, she hopes to inspire others. She believes that anyone can make a difference, and no act of kindness is ever too small.

Council woman Alicia received the BizWest 40 under Forty in 2019, was honored as an Outstanding Women of Weld County in 2021 and was voted as Best Community Activist in the Best of Greeley 2022. Her dedication extends to various roles as she currently serves as the Vice Chair on the Regional Air Quality Council, serves on the 19th Judicial District Performance Commission, and is a valued member of the Friends of a Woman’s Place Board. As a councilwoman, Mrs. Johnson serves as the City of Evans’ liaison in the Finance Committee, and the High Plains Library District Board Selection Committee.

As a devoted mother of two, Alicia’s passion drives her to be a practical force for change, and she firmly believes that community involvement is the catalyst for making a difference to build a safer, more compassionate, and improved world for her children and everyone. Alicia and her husband Ryan have been happily married for over eleven years and take pride in being parents to their 9-year-old son, Isaac, and 6-year-old daughter, Zuri.
