37th Street between 47th Avenue and Cheyenne Drive to close on January 15 for Atmos Energy Project

Beginning on Thursday, Jan 15, and likely lasting through the end of April, 37th Street will be closed to all traffic in both directions between Cheyenne Drive and 47th Avenue as Atmos Energy will be installing a new steel natural gas main to meet increased demand in the region.
In a news release provided to the City of Evans, Atmos Explains:

Atmos Energy is committed to being the safest provider
of natural gas services, and part of this commitment is
investing in the modernization of our natural gas system.
We will be installing a new steel line to reinforce your
natural gas service.

This is a notice to inform you that 37th Street, between
Cheyenne Drive and 47th Avenue, will remain
temporarily closed from January 15 through the end of
April. Weather and external circumstances permitting.

Please be aware of crews and equipment in the area.
Traffic cones, barriers and signage will be visible. We
have notified emergency responders of this activity. We
appreciate your patience as we work to continue the safe
operation of our natural gas system.

Please note that because this is not a City of Evans project, any questions about this work being done and associated closure of 37th Street need to be directed to Atmos Energy Customer Service at (888) 286-6700.
