37th Street between 65th and 47th Avenues to close on Jan. 19

Atmos Energy has asked the City of Evans to share news with the community that, due to their need to install a new, larger capacity natural gas main to meet growing demand in the area, 37th Street between 65th Avenue and 47th Avenue will be fully closed to through traffic beginning on Monday, January 15 and lasting until the end of April. 

Residents who live in the Arrowhead subdivision, as well as emergency vehicles, will be permitted to enter the work area as eastbound traffic at the 37th Street / 65th Avenue intersection; westbound traffic will be allowed to access the neighborhood via Arrowhead Drive at the 47th Street roundabout. Access to the Arrowhead neighborhood will be available via Arrowhead Drive, Cheyenne Drive will be closed at 37th Street.

NO THROUGH TRAFFIC WILL BE PERMITTED and flaggers will be present to monitor traffic and control access. Through traffic on 37th Avenue will need to detour north to Highway 34 or south to 49th Street, please see the traffic control map below.
