In April, a culvert that conveys water from the Evans Ditch under 49th Street in the vicinity of 35th Avenue suffered a catastrophic failure forcing a road closure. At the Evans City Council meeting on Nov. 3, unanimous approval was given to a contract with Mountain Constructors for the needed repairs that will replace the culvert and construct a new roadway segment. Final design work will be completed in the coming weeks with work to begin immediately afterwards. A contractually obligated completion date is set on or before March 15, 2026. 37th Street Now Open to All Traffic

We are very pleased to announce that Atmos Energy has completed their work and 37th Street between 65th and 47th Avenues is now OPEN to all traffic. Some single lane closures east of 47th Avenue will be in place but traffic will remain open in both directions. Thank you very much for your patience and understanding while this project was on-going.
