In April, a culvert that conveys water from the Evans Ditch under 49th Street in the vicinity of 35th Avenue suffered a catastrophic failure forcing a road closure. At the Evans City Council meeting on Nov. 3, unanimous approval was given to a contract with Mountain Constructors for the needed repairs that will replace the culvert and construct a new roadway segment. Final design work will be completed in the coming weeks with work to begin immediately afterwards. A contractually obligated completion date is set on or before March 15, 2026. 37th Street Open Friday Afternoon Nov. 7

Work has completed on Phase 2B of the 37th Street widening project and the roadway is now open to through traffic. Thank you to everyone for their patience while this project was on-going.
