In April, a culvert that conveys water from the Evans Ditch under 49th Street in the vicinity of 35th Avenue suffered a catastrophic failure forcing a road closure. At the Evans City Council meeting on Nov. 3, unanimous approval was given to a contract with Mountain Constructors for the needed repairs that will replace the culvert and construct a new roadway segment. Final design work will be completed in the coming weeks with work to begin immediately afterwards. A contractually obligated completion date is set on or before March 15, 2026. City of Evans Offering Free Christmas Tree Recycling beginning on Dec. 29

The City of Evans is offering FREE Christmas Tree recycling this year. Drop off your tree at the Evans Municipal Operations Center at 1800 40th Street - see map here - and city staff will mulch the tree for use in city parks. We will begin accepting trees on Monday, December 29th and please make sure your tree is free of lights, ornaments, garland, tinsel, etc.
