City of Evans Unequivocally Denies Staff Members Implicated in Viral Social Media Video

The City of Evans has been made aware of a viral video circulating on social media depicting two individuals allegedly pouring what is said to be Clorox Bleach into food vessels. The individuals spotlighted in this video are NOT City of Evans employees, contractors, or agents. The video did NOT take place within the Evans city limits.
“After being made aware of the viral video claiming to depict City of Evans staff members engaged in this behavior, I began an immediate and thorough evaluation of the video. Working alongside City of Evans Human Resources and Risk Management leadership, the Neighborhood Services Division management and the other members of my executive team, we have confirmed with absolute certainty that the individuals appearing in the video are not employees of the City of Evans,” Evans City Manager Cody R. Sims said in an official city statement.
The City of Evans is saddened that our staff have been wrongly implicated in this unfair and wholly inaccurate video. The City of Evans is staffed with a highly professional and dedicated team fully committed to making Evans a great place to live, work, and do business.
