In April, a culvert that conveys water from the Evans Ditch under 49th Street in the vicinity of 35th Avenue suffered a catastrophic failure forcing a road closure. At the Evans City Council meeting on Nov. 3, unanimous approval was given to a contract with Mountain Constructors for the needed repairs that will replace the culvert and construct a new roadway segment. Final design work will be completed in the coming weeks with work to begin immediately afterwards. A contractually obligated completion date is set on or before March 15, 2026. City offices closed for Veterans Day, Refuse collection to occur on schedule

This is a reminder that the City of Evans Administrative offices will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Trash and recycling collection services from WM (Waste Management) will continue as planned. Please place your trash and recycling collection bins curbside as usual on Monday night or Tuesday morning for collection from WM.

City Hall will open for normal business at 8am on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
