Evans City Council meeting and work session Aug. 19

The Evans City Council will hold their bi-monthly meeting tonight at the Evans Community Complex. A work session is slated to begin at 5pm, and the regular meeting will begin at 7pm.

What's on the agenda?

Work Session

  • The third budget presentation as work continues to finalize the 2026 operating and capital budget.
  • An interview with a candidate to fill the alternate spot on the City's Planning Commission. 
Regular Meeting
  • A contract amendment related to early procurement of materials for new Evans police station. 
  • An ordinance related to changing some right-of-way dedications in the Liberty Draw development.
  • Public hearing for an on-premises liquor license for Jarrito's Taco Shack.
  • The Council will consider authorizing a ballot measure to indefinitely extend the 1% sales tax for road maintenance and construction.
