Evans Express March 2026

The City of Evans has released the March 2026 edition of the Evans Express, the city’s official community newsletter. The latest issue highlights major infrastructure updates, upcoming events, recreation opportunities, and programs designed to keep residents informed and connected.

Highlights from the March edition include:

  • 49th Street Culvert Repair Complete
    49th Street east of 35th Avenue has reopened following a major infrastructure repair project. Temporary jersey barriers are in place while permanent guardrails are prepared for installation to enhance roadway safety

  • 37th Street Reopens Early
    Atmos Energy completed installation of a new natural gas main nearly two months ahead of schedule, allowing 37th Street between 47th and 65th Avenues to reopen to through traffic.

  • Evans Community Cleanup Event – April 25
    Residents can dispose of bulky household items, yard waste, scrap metal, and other materials during the annual community cleanup event. Cleanup vouchers are $15 and available at the Evans Community Complex or at the gate.

  • Gateway Sign Approved for Evans Junction
    City Council approved a contract for installation of a gateway sign at Highway 85 and 31st Street, helping strengthen Evans’ identity and support future economic development.

  • New Evans Police Station Construction Progress
    Construction on the new police station continues to move forward, with exterior walls now in place and interior work underway. The facility will improve training space, officer safety, and recruitment.

  • Coffee with a Cop Community Event
    Evans Police hosted a successful Coffee with a Cop event at Starbucks on 23rd Avenue, bringing residents and officers together to connect and build relationships.

  • Evans Sign Shop in High Gear
    The city’s in-house sign shop is producing and installing new roadway signage beginning along 37th Street, improving safety, navigation, and consistency across the community.

  • Business Spotlight: Frida Café Bar & Grill
    This month’s local business feature highlights the Evans restaurant known for its authentic Mexican dishes and family-inspired recipes.

  • Recreation Programs & Community Opportunities
    Registration is open for youth soccer and youth baseball/softball leagues, Kids Night Out on March 27, and upcoming programs including the Teen Police Academy and Summer Day Camp.

The Evans Express is published monthly to keep residents informed about city projects, services, and community opportunities happening throughout Evans.
