Applications for Tree Assistance Program Now Open
The City of Evans is now accepting applications for the 2026 Tree Assistance Program, an initiative designed to help residents enhance their properties while supporting a healthier, greener community.
Through this program, eligible residents may receive reimbursement of up to $275 toward the purchase of an approved tree. The program encourages thoughtful planting that contributes to Evans’ long-term urban canopy, improves neighborhood aesthetics, and supports environmental sustainability.
Applications are open from April 1 through September 15. Funding is limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
To participate, residents must meet several program requirements. Applicants must live within the City of Evans and must submit an application and receive approval before purchasing a tree. Prior to planting, participants are required to contact 811 for utility locates. Trees must meet approved species and size guidelines and be planted in accordance with Evans Municipal Code. Ongoing maintenance and proper care of the tree are also required to ensure long-term success.
The Tree Assistance Program offers a practical opportunity for residents to invest in their property while contributing to the overall quality and sustainability of the community.
