Candidate Nomination Petition Packets Available for November 2026 Municipal Election
Residents interested in serving their community are encouraged to consider running for office in the November 3, 2026, City of Evans Municipal Election. Candidate nomination petition packets are now available through the City Clerk's Office.
The following elected offices will appear on the November ballot:
- Mayor (elected at-large/citywide) – 2-year term
- Ward 1 – 2-year term
- Ward 1 – 4-year term
- Ward 2 – 4-year term
- Ward 3 – 4-year term
To help prospective candidates better understand the election process and the responsibilities of serving on City Council, the City Clerk will host a Council Candidate Orientation on:
Thursday, August 6
6:00 p.m.
Evans Community Complex – City Council Chambers
1100 37th Street, Evans, CO
The orientation is open to anyone considering a candidacy and will provide an overview of the nomination process, election requirements, filing deadlines, and expectations of elected officials.
Nomination petition packets are available beginning August 4 and must be completed and returned to the City Clerk's Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026.
Serving on the Evans City Council is an opportunity to help guide the future of the community by establishing policies, setting priorities, and representing the interests of Evans residents. Community members who are interested in making a positive impact are encouraged to attend the orientation and learn more about becoming a candidate.
