City Expands Livestreaming of Citizen Board and Commission Meetings

The City of Evans is expanding public access to local government by livestreaming meetings of its citizen boards and commissions on the City’s YouTube channel.

Beginning Thursday, Sept. 17, with the Water and Sewer Board meeting, residents will be able to watch participating board and commission meetings live and access recordings afterward through the City of Evans YouTube channel.

Meetings of the Water and Sewer Board, Planning Commission, and Parks & Recreation Advisory Board will be livestreamed as part of the expanded coverage. The most recent meeting recording will also be embedded on the corresponding board or commission page at EvansColorado.gov, providing residents another convenient way to follow the work of these advisory bodies.

The expansion builds on the City’s existing livestreaming of City Council meetings and is part of an ongoing effort to increase transparency and make City government more accessible to residents.

Evans’ volunteer boards and commissions provide opportunities for residents to participate directly in the governing process. They review proposals and plans within their respective areas of responsibility and provide recommendations to the City Council.

Residents can learn more about Evans’ boards and commissions, including meeting information, agendas, packets and minutes, on the City's Boards and Commissions webpage.

Visit the City of Evans YouTube channel to watch meetings live or view archived recordings.
