City of Evans Launches Storefront Improvement Program to Help Local Businesses Enhance Their Properties

The City of Evans is proud to introduce its new Storefront Improvement Program, an initiative designed to help local businesses invest in their properties while enhancing the appearance and vitality of commercial areas throughout the community.

Eligible businesses and commercial property owners may receive reimbursement of up to $5,000 for qualifying exterior improvements that improve the appearance and functionality of their storefronts.

Eligible improvements include, but are not limited to:

• Exterior painting
• Asphalt or concrete improvements
• Permanent business signage
• Roofing improvements
• Landscaping and site enhancements

Increased Incentive for Shopping Local

Businesses that choose to work with an Evans-based contractor or supplier can receive reimbursement for up to 60% of eligible project costs. Projects completed using contractors or suppliers located outside Evans are eligible for reimbursement of up to 40% of eligible costs.

This additional incentive encourages investment not only in individual businesses but also in the local Evans economy.
