City Seeking Applicants for Three Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Openings
The City of Evans is seeking residents interested in serving their community, with three openings currently available on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board serves in an advisory capacity to the Evans City Council and the City’s Parks and Recreation Department on matters related to parks, open space, trails, recreation facilities and programming. The board also provides input on long-term planning, including the Parks and Recreation Master Plan and the Trails and Open Space Master Plan.
The five-member board is made up of citizen volunteers appointed by the City Council. Members help provide a community perspective on the present and future development of Evans’ parks, trails, recreational areas and open spaces.
The board meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Evans Community Complex Council Chambers.
Evans residents who are interested in helping shape the future of parks and recreation in their community are encouraged to apply.
