Citywide Non-Potable Water System Shutdown Scheduled for October 15

The City of Evans will shut down its non-potable irrigation water system citywide on Thursday, October 15, marking the end of the 2026 irrigation season.

With drought conditions continuing across the region, the City is encouraging residents to conserve water and limit outdoor irrigation for the remainder of the year, including at properties that use potable water for irrigation.

Although the irrigation season is coming to an end, responsible water use remains a priority. Continued conservation efforts will help preserve available water resources and support the City's efforts to maintain a reliable and sustainable water supply in 2027.

The City appreciates residents' cooperation and commitment to responsible water use as the community continues to navigate ongoing drought conditions.

Conserving water today helps protect our community's water resources for tomorrow.
