Evans City Council to Consider 2027 Budget and Major Infrastructure Projects October 6

The Evans City Council's October 6 meeting will feature several significant agenda items, including consideration of the City's 2027 budget and contracts for major transportation, water, and stormwater infrastructure projects.

The meeting presents an opportunity for residents to learn more about the City's financial priorities, planned infrastructure improvements, and upcoming projects that will help serve the community's current and future needs.

2027 City Budget

City Council is scheduled to consider adoption of the 2027 budget, establishing the City's financial plan for the coming year. The budget outlines anticipated revenues and expenditures and provides the framework for delivering municipal services, maintaining infrastructure, and implementing City priorities.

37th Street Phase 3

Council will consider a design contract for Phase 3 of the 37th Street project, extending from just west of the 37th Street / 65th Avenue intersection east to the vicinity of Arrowhead Drive. This next step will advance planning and engineering for continued improvements along this important transportation corridor.

Water Master Plan

A proposed contract for the City's Water Master Plan will also come before Council. The plan will help assess Evans' water infrastructure and guide long-term planning, future improvements and capital investments as the community grows.

23rd Avenue Stormwater Outfall

Council will consider a design contract for the 23rd Avenue Stormwater Outfall project. The project scope will include rehabilitation of the Ridge Pond drainage basin, rehabilitation of the outfall pipe, and construction of an outfall drainage channel from 49th Street to the South Platte River. The purpose of this project is to build capacity and reliability into critical drainage infrastructure that impacts a significant portion of the city. Stormwater infrastructure plays an important role in managing runoff and supporting the City's drainage system.

2026 Mill & Overlay Program

The agenda will also include consideration of a construction contract for the City's 2026 Mill & Overlay Program. The program will provide pavement improvements on several major thoroughfares and neighborhood streets as part of the City's ongoing investment in maintaining its transportation infrastructure.
