Evans Recreation Announces Youth Theater Club This Fall
Young performers will have the opportunity to build confidence, develop new skills, and discover the excitement of live performance this fall through the City of Evans Recreation Department's Youth Theater Club.
Designed for children ages 7–13, the nine-week program introduces participants to the fundamentals of theater in a fun, supportive environment. Through engaging drama games, creative exercises, and hands-on activities, students will explore acting, improvisation, performance techniques, and audition basics while building communication skills and self-confidence.
The program meets Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., beginning September 26 and continuing through November 21. The registration fee is $200 per child for the full session. A minimum of four participants is required for the program to be held.
The season will conclude with either a talent showcase or a short theatrical performance, giving participants the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned for family and friends.
The City of Evans is committed to making recreation opportunities accessible to everyone. United Way scholarships are available to help offset registration costs for qualifying families.
