Evans Takes on Greeley in Badges for Babies Diaper Drive
Badges for Babies is officially underway, and the Evans community is being called on to help support local families — and bring home some bragging rights along the way.
From August 22–30, Evans is going head-to-head with Greeley in a friendly competition to see which community can collect the most diapers and baby essentials for the Covering Weld Diaper Bank.
The annual drive provides much-needed supplies to babies and families throughout Weld County. Evans residents, businesses and organizations are encouraged to help fill the donation boxes at the Evans Police Department and show what our community can accomplish when we work together.
Donations Needed
The Covering Weld Diaper Bank is seeking:
- Diapers, newborn through size 7
- Sealed packages of baby wipes
- Diaper rash cream
Donations can be dropped off through August 30 at the Evans Police Department, 3737 St. Vrain St.
Help Evans Win the Friendly Competition
While supporting Weld County families is the ultimate goal, there are some bragging rights on the line. Evans is competing against Greeley to collect the most donations — and the Evans Police Department would also be more than happy to finish ahead of Fire!
Community members can help by donating unused diapers they already have at home, picking up an extra package during their next shopping trip or encouraging friends, family members and coworkers to contribute.
Every package makes a difference. At the end of the competition, regardless of which community tops the scoreboard, the biggest victory will be helping ensure Weld County babies and families have access to essential diapering supplies.
