Jarritos, owned by Juan Martinez and Maria Maldonado, opened its 37^th Street location in January, but the team has decades of experience in quality meat distribution locally.

Clarissa Martinez, pictured below, describes Jarritos as “a family-owned business that values fresh ingredients, traditional homemade recipes, and bringing our community together through quality service and comfort food.”

When you eat at Jarritos, the quality of the product served is evident. Plates are beautifully crafted and heaped with fresh ingredients. The menu has a large variety, ranging from tacos (the barbacoa are a personal favorite), quesabirria, smothered burritos, enchiladas and specialties such as “7 Mares,” which is a traditional Mexican seafood stew named for the "seven seas" worth of seafood it contains (only available Saturday & Sunday).

Jarritos offers several specials throughout the week, including $2 Taco Tuesday, $5 breakfast burrito Wednesday, and $7 Torta Thursday.

Owned by Otis & Victoria Everett, Luxury Cult has been a part of the Evans community for two and a half years. Located at 2905 37^th Street in Evans, Luxury Cult provides outstanding cosmetic and tattoo services.

As described by Victoria, Luxury Cult is “a fusion studio. Our all-female shop consists of 6 tattoo artists and 2 piercers, as well as 3 estheticians ranging in services of laser hair removal, permanent makeup, lashes and more! Despite the name, Greeley Collision and Restoration is a proud Evans-based business! Located in Evans since 2015, this family-owned business proudly provides auto paint services and dent repair to the community.

A tad unassuming from the outside, the inside of Lit’l Bit Bar and Grill is anything but. Warmly decorated and appointed, Lit’l Bit is a welcoming local spot that has been serving food and drinks to locals since 2013. Barb Solivais is owner and operator.

It’s time for an Evans business snapshot!

Did you know that you can buy fresh, made-daily tortillas right here in Evans? Tortilleria La Exitosa makes flour, whole wheat and corn (white and yellow) tortillas every day but Sunday in their shop on 23^rd Avenue.

What began as a home-based business 13 years ago has now grown into a storefront (opened in August 2024) that provides fresh tortillas to the public, local schools, many local food trucks and wholesale customers. Tortilleria La Exitosa also sells fresh tamales on Saturdays.

“We want to be able to provide fresh tortillas to the public,” says shop owner Mariela Contreras, who owns the business with her husband Kevin Chavez. Upon entering the shop, you can see the tortillas being made right behind the counter.

Please meet J&C Ceramics. Operating out of a studio at the front of their home, Jon & Carolyn Baudendistel are the owners of this boutique ceramics studio. J&C Ceramics makes their own slip and pours their own molds, and they estimate they have over 5,000 molds.

You can visit and choose an item to paint, and they will fire it in their kilns to create the finished product.

They are open to the public and can accommodate groups of up to 10. They have had girl scout groups, church groups and more. They are also open to hosting private painting parties.
