In April, a culvert that conveys water from the Evans Ditch under 49th Street in the vicinity of 35th Avenue suffered a catastrophic failure forcing a road closure. At the Evans City Council meeting on Nov. 3, unanimous approval was given to a contract with Mountain Constructors for the needed repairs that will replace the culvert and construct a new roadway segment. Final design work will be completed in the coming weeks with work to begin immediately afterwards. A contractually obligated completion date is set on or before March 15, 2026. The 2026 Fee Schedule was approved by the Evans City Council on December 8, 2025 and became effective on January 1, 2026.
