Alicia (Ally) Johnson is a people-centered community leader, public servant, wife, and mother who believes that strong communities are built by listening, showing up, and creating opportunities for everyone to thrive.

Alicia (Ally) brings a unique perspective shaped by family, perseverance, service, and more than 15 years of experience in social work and serving individuals and families. Her professional work has given her a firsthand understanding of the challenges people face and the importance of connecting individuals and families with the resources, services, and opportunities they need to move forward.

That experience continues to shape how she leads. Alicia (Ally) believes leadership is not about having all the answers, it is about listening to people, understanding their experiences, and working together to find meaningful solutions.

Ally currently serves on the 19th Judicial District Performance Commission, where she serves as Chair, and on the Friends of A Woman’s Place Board, supporting efforts to strengthen safety and resources for survivors of domestic violence. She has also serves as a representative of the City of Evans High Plains Library District Board Selection Committee and she represents the City of Evans the Citizens Transportation Advisory Board.

Her approach to leadership is rooted in collaboration and community. Alicia (Ally) believes Evans can continue to grow while remaining a place where people can afford to live, families can feel safe, neighborhoods can thrive, and residents have access to opportunity. Her priorities include: affordable housing, strong infrastructure and roads, transportation, economic opportunity, responsible growth, and ensuring residents have access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.

As she looks toward the future of Evans, Alicia (Ally) is committed to continuing to listen to residents, bring people together, and lead with compassion, experience, and a practical understanding of the challenges facing the community.

Alicia (Ally) and her husband, Ryan, have built their family and community life in Evans, where they are raising their two children. For Ally, building a stronger Evans is deeply personal. She wants her children and every child in the community, to grow up knowing that they belong, that their voices matter, and that their future holds opportunity.

Her commitment is simple: listen to the community, lead with compassion, and work together to build a stronger Evans for everyone.
